This Day – The First Day

Hi!

I hope you are enjoying the day.  If you live in the USA, you are probably off today enjoying egg nog and watching the football games on TV.  I am home today too.  I am getting organized for the new year.  I have started my folder for 2008 Income Taxes.  I have a new folder for 2008 Health Insurance Receipts.  I am charging my batteries for my digital camera.  I have written down a few goals for this year.  Not a lot, but a couple that I really need to work on to be more successful for 2008.  I spent all day on December 22nd and have decided that I will retire in 10 years from May 2008.  So on May 31st  2018, I will retire.  It is funny to write the day down, since I have been talking about retirement for a long time and always say, “I will retire in 10 years”.  Each year in our Christmas newsletter to friends and family, there is a line that always says, “Jim still hopes to retire in 10 years.”  However now I have put an actual date on it – not just the usual “in ten years” but I will retire on May 31st, 2018.

I have decided to write at least one white paper each month on a subject that will be of interest to Internet Marketing students.  I started the first one this morning about link tracking and statistics.  Have you ever gotten a white paper that was not done in PDF?  I will do an article about the ways to do a PDF without the expense of buying Adobe 8.o Standard or Professional.  That white paper will be coming in February.   Video on the web is big.  I will be discussing video and how to get started in March.  Stay tuned.  Podcasting – What do you think?  It’s not as good as video, but it is lots cheaper.  More in April.

If you are just getting started in Internet Marketing, I hope the information presented here is useful.  If it is, please let me know.   If I need to do something different, please let me know that too.   I welcome comments and all you have to do is register and tell me what is working for you and what is not.  I will help you where and when I can.

Thank you, Jim
